Works on Paper
A Poem
Be Patient
to stand beyond the barrier
and move in a present but more subtle world
usually filtered out,
refining the act of looking at
dying away,
and
coming out, repeating the pattern
and changing slowly as history melts
be patient in dealing with the invisible
bringing to this no complication
only observation without involvement
again and again returning to bringing
the attention lightly to rest
without straining at the leash
of what constitutes definition
thinly spread into a dissolving mist
These works on paper are done with art markers. What I like about them is that they have a poignancy and feeling of impermanence. It is as though they could fade away at any time ( in reality they won’t !).
